About

When I was born, I was given a box.  A medium-sized box that my family would place me in to watch me grow up and into their ideal daughter.  The bottom of this box lay flat and quiescent in it’s mission to keep me grounded, it’s sides were bland constructions of society’s expectations for their newest member and the top was a lid carefully built by my family’s hopes for my future.   For the first 18 years, I fit quite well into this box.  I was mentally and emotionally stable, abided by the behavioural roles for my gender and had (almost) unquestionable faith in the pillars of society.

Fortunately, encouraged by my parents’ expectation that I become a successful career woman, I attended a post-secondary institution that forced me to question our society and explore my individuality.  For years I haven’t been able to get back inside that box, it is far too depressing, broken and tattered.  Now I shall build my own box with dimensions of infinite length.  I plan to live without limitations.

This blog is my quest towards this new lifestyle and becoming all that I can and want to be.  I will comb through the different aspects of my life and explain the methods to end my dissatisfaction.  If you are having similar problems, then stick around and maybe we can get through this together.

First off, we begin with different parts of every life and the issues that ensue:

Sustainable Self

Cranial Exercise

Mi Amor

Hospitable Health

Meaningful Employment
